Cartoon Friday presents Da Boom Crew
Its friday. So on Fridays I'm going to Highlight cartoons that people may have slept on or just don't remember. I've posted a few in the past like the MC Hammer cartoon and the Proud Family DVD. Well here is a cartoon that got the boot from WB only after airing 4 episodes due to low ratings. I thought the show looked great. It wasn't as funny as proud family. I must also say after watching the first episode that I didn't think they thought out the story and the writing too much. I love the character designs on this show. the bio reads.
A hip-hop, sci-fi animated series following the intergalactic adventures of four orphans who are transported into a universe that strangely resembles a video game world that they've created. The creators of this show were also creators of Dave the Barbarian and The Proud Family. This show was nearly reported to go to Toon Disney but Kids' WB! won the bargain and bought it right away. All of these orphans have had a hard life so magically they are transported to the video game world with their many wishes. Life is hard here but they also get to find some incredible adventures and explore like a real video game character. Let your mind go through excitement in, Da Boom Crew!

Tuesdays Sketch
Paris Hilton! Everybody loves Paris don't they? I was just surfing the net and saw a pic of her and thought I'd do a quick sketch while I wait for traffic to die down. Its amazing how many pics of her on the net there are and in every last one she has the same expression on her face. Its like they photocopied the same pic of her face on every picture. lol! With this sketch I'm posting the reference I used so if you want to do your own version and see what you come up with.
How do you hang out character designs.
About a year ago or more I did some character designs for a company for a web game. I forgot I never posted the art for the game on my site or my blog. I'll have to dig for them and post them. Here is the game in the mean time if you'd like to check them out. howdoyouhangout.com
Damn Kids!
Fatherhood is just around the corner. It hasn't really hit me until this past week when I was out looking for baby stuff. Damn stuff cost too damn much. Cribs and all the crap that goes with it. lol! I'm gonna have to start taking donations just to pay for all this stuff. Much less day care. Well my mom is suppose to come live with us for awhile and maybe move to atlanta so we can have family close for awhile.

Lt. Uhura is DY-NO-MITE!!!!
This was one of the foxiest momma's to hit TV when Star Trek came out. Man she was fine as a hoe in the Blaxploitation Truck Turner (1974) with Isaac Hayes. She's mostly known for her role as Lt.Uhura.
Uhura served as communications officer aboard the Enterprise on one of its early five-year missions, under the command of James T. Kirk. It is not unusual to see her rewire or repair her own communications board during a crisis.
In Swahili the name of Uhura, a striking black woman, translates to "freedom," and she speaks that language fluently. She also has a singing voice and was known to entertain members of the U.S.S. Enterprise crew, accompanying herself on the Vulcan harp. Uhura has shown some romantic interest in Scotty, but it was never pursued. After her memory was wiped in 2267 by the space probe Nomad, Uhura spent considerable time relearning the huge pieces of information the probe had destroyed.
Uhura served at Starfleet Command on Earth after the reassignment of the original U.S.S. Enterprise to Starfleet Academy in 2284, where part of her duty was to give lectures. Prior to the Khitomer peace conference, Uhura returned to her former post on the U.S.S. Enterprise-A at the request of Captain Kirk.

wacom Cintiq 21UX
Now a days everybody wants to be a Baller, Shot caller, Pimp, Super Mack Daddy or whatever you want to be called. Well art is alot like hip hop. You wanna be the best. If you make a living off your art like I do, you want people to know that hey I'm making a living ,my bills are getting paid and I'm doing what I love. Not everybody can say they do what they love. Well if you want people to know you are a Baller in the art game you gotta have a Cintiq 21UX. I've talked about it in a few of my past post. I love this thing. I talked my wife into letting me get one for my home office. So I'm gonna be stepping up my Gangsta Lean if you want to call it that and drop the 2500.00 for it. I think its worth every penny.
On another note. Today I was online chatting and some how "Break the Chain" by KRS 1 popped up in my mind. Alot of people don't know about this book but i remember it. It was drawn by KYLE BAKER. It came with a audio tape of Krs one rapping the whole comic. It was crazy hype back then and still is. It was the first Hip hop comic book and the best to ever come out to me. I just found it on ebay for 5 bucks so i bought it but I don't think it has the tape with it still. I hope it does though.
Here is the link to the Break the chain video.
