Lt. Uhura is DY-NO-MITE!!!!

This was one of the foxiest momma's to hit TV when Star Trek came out. Man she was fine as a hoe in the Blaxploitation Truck Turner (1974) with Isaac Hayes. She's mostly known for her role as Lt.Uhura.

Uhura served as communications officer aboard the Enterprise on one of its early five-year missions, under the command of James T. Kirk. It is not unusual to see her rewire or repair her own communications board during a crisis.

In Swahili the name of Uhura, a striking black woman, translates to "freedom," and she speaks that language fluently. She also has a singing voice and was known to entertain members of the U.S.S. Enterprise crew, accompanying herself on the Vulcan harp. Uhura has shown some romantic interest in Scotty, but it was never pursued. After her memory was wiped in 2267 by the space probe Nomad, Uhura spent considerable time relearning the huge pieces of information the probe had destroyed.

Uhura served at Starfleet Command on Earth after the reassignment of the original U.S.S. Enterprise to Starfleet Academy in 2284, where part of her duty was to give lectures. Prior to the Khitomer peace conference, Uhura returned to her former post on the U.S.S. Enterprise-A at the request of Captain Kirk.

wacom Cintiq 21UX

Now a days everybody wants to be a Baller, Shot caller, Pimp, Super Mack Daddy or whatever you want to be called. Well art is alot like hip hop. You wanna be the best. If you make a living off your art like I do, you want people to know that hey I'm making a living ,my bills are getting paid and I'm doing what I love. Not everybody can say they do what they love. Well if you want people to know you are a Baller in the art game you gotta have a Cintiq 21UX. I've talked about it in a few of my past post. I love this thing. I talked my wife into letting me get one for my home office. So I'm gonna be stepping up my Gangsta Lean if you want to call it that and drop the 2500.00 for it. I think its worth every penny.

On another note. Today I was online chatting and some how "Break the Chain" by KRS 1 popped up in my mind. Alot of people don't know about this book but i remember it. It was drawn by KYLE BAKER. It came with a audio tape of Krs one rapping the whole comic. It was crazy hype back then and still is. It was the first Hip hop comic book and the best to ever come out to me. I just found it on ebay for 5 bucks so i bought it but I don't think it has the tape with it still. I hope it does though.
Here is the link to the Break the chain video.

Woody wOODPECKER

Saturday Morning growing up was the one day I really looked forward to every-week. I'd get up to watch cartoons so early my moms would come downstairs and tell me to take my ass back to bed. Id get out my notebook paper and would draw the cartoons while it was on. Thats how i really got into the whole animation thing. Until this day if I'm watching cartoons I'd draw sketches of them while the show is playing. Well Woody woodpecker was my favorite of all times. Not the more common seen version but the crazy cross eyed version. I hated when they changed Woody Woodpecker! Damn you damn you all for changing Woody to that watered down version. Woody Woodpecker was a brash, high-strung woodpecker whose trademark was his staccato laugh, "ha-ha-ha-HA-ha". The character first appeared in the 1940 Andy Panda short, Knock Knock, voiced by Mel Blanc.

Spider-boy is here!

The first comic book i ever picked up was Spider-man. I don't remember which issue. I'M NOT THAT BIG OF A NERD! i just remember marvel use to reprint alot of the older spider-man comics and i would always get them form the drug store in my small town. I think they were 50 or 60 cent back then. I really got into spider-man, the cartoon the comics and the toys. Oh man the toys. I remember my mom bought me this spider-man toy that had a light that shined his logo on your wall. He didn't move much but i loved that thing. I'd jump all over the house thinking i was spider-man and whenever anyone came near me my spider sense would tingle and i 'd jump somewhere else. trying to climb walls was the best. lol man those where the good old days.

Trying to get out a rut!

I been out of it the last few days. Haven't been able to draw anything that looks good. I was surfing the net and came across this photo and thought i'd do a quick sketch of it and try and get out this rut I've been in the last few days. So i pull out the wacom pen and draw and draw and draw until i got this.

Model Sheet Tuesday

I was cleaning out my computer and found tons of folders of model sheets that I've collected over the years form doing animation. Whenever I worked on a new freelance job we would always get copies of model sheets to use for the spots. Most of the time i'd throw them away after i got done but after awhile I'd just hold on to them just in case i needed them again. So I came up with this idea that I'd share them with you guys just in case you ever needed them. I'm not posting in any kind of order just going to grab something and to start off this tuesday is my favorite cartoon on tv Sponge Bob.

Cartoon Throw Back

Characters & Voices
Stanley/Hammerman - Hammer
Hammerman's Would-be Girlfriend - Susan Roman

We asked nicely – “Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt ‘Em.” But that didn’t stop MC Hammer from relentlessly stomping all over his enemies each week on the animated adventure series Hammerman.

In the fall of 1991, the former Stanley Burrell was too legit to quit showing off his exceptional musical and dancing skills, so he channeled them into a weekly children’s cartoon.

Hammerman told the tale of an ordinary guy named Stanley, a super dope homeboy from the Oaktown, who worked at a kids' recreational facility. Whenever trouble lurked, all Stanley had to do was put on his Magic Dancin’ Shoes and, quicker than you can say “proper,” he turned into the superhero Hammerman.

The dancin' crimefighter's main nemesis was the arch villain Boss Grindenheimer, who did his damage from behind bars via his loyal henchmen. Always looking to promote a positive image, each episode would end with the real Hammer expounding upon the day’s learned lesson, which usually focused on youth-oriented problems like vandalism, drug abuse and gangs.

Hammer believed in the project, lending his own voice to his cartoon likeness, contributing a different song each week, and making sure the character always acted as a solid role model. But after only one season, ABC executives brought down the hammer, canceling Hammerman.

Hammerman! Hammer!
Hammerman! Hammer!

Whenever there's a crime
Some crooks are gonna do time
They all better beware
Cause the Hammerman will be there!

Here's how it started
A long time ago
The legend of the Hammer
And how it began to grow

He was given magical shoes
From a hip-hop motown dude
Together they had power
They stood up for what was right
But Gramps was gettin' old and
He couldnt keep up the fight (right)

So Gramps and his granddaughter
They went out on the road (searchin')
To find a man they knew who could jam
Who was worthy of the load

They met a guy named Stanley (Stanley)
Who was dancin' every night
He helped the kids play every day
His heart was out of sight

So Gramps opened up the bag
And took out the magical shoes
He set them on the ground
And they soon began to groove

The shoes knew at once
They had finally found their man
They hopped right on his feet
And he became Hammerman!
Hammerman! Hammer!
Hammerman! Hammer!
Hammerman! Hammer!
Hammerman! Hammer!
Oh Yeah!

Ever had one pf those blind dates that you just wish would end? Or someone would call your cell phone so you'd have a reason to get the hell outta there and run for cover. LOL! I had a few like that and i even had a few were the date went so wrong that you knew you'd never hear from this person again but at the end of the night they give you their number and ask you to call. Well I was chatting with my buddy Noel and he was telling me his dating story this past weekend so it hit the spot and I did this really quick. Not based on anyone I know. LoL!!!
