The Evolution of Luke Cage

Luke Cage, born Carl Lucas and also called Power Man, is a fictional superhero appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Archie Goodwin and artist John Romita, Sr., he first appeared in Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #1 (June 1972).

This is a image I recently did for a comic book art show here in Atlanta last week. Just thought I'd show the steps from sketch to finish.

Here are some rough concept designs I did for the Ben10 bounty hunters game I worked on last year and the start of this year. These didn't make the cut so I thought I'd throw them out there just to see what people thought.

Tailender

Here is this weeks animated trailer or short. Hope you guys like it.
The plotline here: A serious accident requires a driver to have his heart replaced with the engine of his own racing car. I love the style of the show. Reminds me of FLCL.

Grouchy Smurf has had enough

Here is a 80's throw back. I always wondered as a kid why Grouchy Smurf never just snapped and beat the hell out of Jokey Smurf for all the bombs and pies that he put in his face. Well this images is from the day that Grouchy just said the hell with it and went all out.

Since the movie is out now I thought I'd do a drawing of one of my favorite characters of all time growing up. Not that Hollywood version. I hate that watered down clown. The real deal baby!

woman warrior

A woman warrior is a role of interest to historians and scholars of anthropology and feminism.

The portrayal of women in literature and popular culture as warriors has been studied in literary, film, feminist and cultural studies. In fictional works, the character type often refers to a strong female personality, determined in pursuit of her goals and often eager to take on typical "man's work" like fighting wars or performing manual labour to accomplish those goals. This type of character has become a stock character, and stands in contrast to the "damsel in distress" archetype . When of a royal background, a woman warrior may be called a warrior princess.
