Rewind

I did this a few days ago. I found a old sketch i had laying around and redrew it and redesigned the characters. The first rough was just my idea of some bad ass kids I saw one day at the mall. I see all these really beautiful women and they have like 3 bad ass kids. lol!

More Laila

Laila had some fun this week. I gave her some solid food for the first time. She was eating off a spoon like she knew what she was doing lol!

I saw Open Season In 3D last weekend while I was in LA on IMAX. Its a very beautiful movie. Worth the money I spent thats for sure. The animation was great and I love the style of the characters. Well you can check out a little Interview from one of the artist on the movie over at cgsociety

Old animation frames

These are some pencil frames from a animation scene that never got finished. Saxton Moore did the breakdowns for the animation and I cleaned it up and put it on model. I'll have to look and see if I still have the breakdowns. They were pretty loose.

Since I'm gonna be out in LA this week I thought I'd post something before I left. I didn't get a chance to post model sheets today so I'll try and post some tomorrow morning before I leave or I'll double up next week. Here is a ruff from my sketchbook and then i redid it on the computer and did a quick color or it.

I'll be out in Hollywood this week. Oct.4-Oct 8th for the Flash In the Can conference. So if you gonna be there or around that area hit me up maybe we can do a sketchbook dinner or something since I don't know anything about Cali.

Make pencil looking effects in PS

This little movie shows you how to make a pencil stroke line in Photoshop. The guys art sucks major ass but at least it shows you how to do it. Personally I like to use alias sketchbook to draw in but this works pretty much the same. Enjoy!

FRIDAY Sketch

I've been getting that drawing bug itch the last few days so I dug out the sketchbook and started drawing. This is a first on paper for me since I got the Wacom. So here is something for you to chew on until I post some more.

I did this for the drawing board jam for this month. I did this one pretty quick just trying to get back into the flow of things. Also I havent forgot about model sheets for this week. I just couldnt get them to load for some reason. This weeks Model sheets will be from Class of 3000. The new Andre 3000 (OUTKAST) cartoon.

My birthday was Wed. I had dinner with a few friends at Dave and Busters and got a cake that I couldn't eat since I'm still on my diet. PLus I'm adding a pic of Laila since she is pretty much taking over my blog now when I don't have any new art to post. lol!

memory Drawing

Here is like a 10 min pic I did. The story behind this is that back in the 8th or 9th grade me and my best friend were going to get poke a dot outfits like we saw the rappers wearing on yo!MTV raps. I get to school and my boy didn't get his and I wore mine the first day of school and everybody laughed their asses off. I never wore that outfit again but of course a few weeks later people started wearing theirs once Kwame blew up.
